			Latest gossip on the "News" page ! May 2011: Well, our new CD is recorded and the mix will be completed next week: it's called "The Cannie Hour", which means "the quiet hour", and is a collection of 13 songs all written by myself and arranged by Christophe. Inspiration for the songs came from all sorts of different sources: books, an ancient fairy tale, an emmigrant's letter home to his parents, a distant Scottish island called St. Kilda, my grandparents, a school friend's fear of ghosts... We invited some fantastic guest musicians for the first time which is very exciting for us, a string quartet of internatonally renowned musicians (named the "whisky and pistols string quartet" for the occasion!) and a brilliant accordionist, and we're really pleased with the result (apart from anything else we had a brilliant time in the studio!!). The recordings went really well - it sounds even better that we had imagined - and we're looking forward to sharing it all with you! The CD will be officially launched in September, but we'll have a few copies with us at our gigs during the summer... Click below to see the CD "teaser" ! Joanne
